Changing our mindset about the food we eat

Many of us all over the world suffer from negative food thoughts. On paper, it doesn’t sound like such a destructive thing, but in hindsight, it can be incredibly detrimental to our health. Not just our physical health but our mental health too.

Many things can come into play when it comes to weight loss as it is not often what we do or don’t eat but also how we feel, what we think and what we want. Essentially, our self-worth becomes the epitome of our bodies and our health. Any negative thoughts or feelings we have towards ourselves often allows us to be unhealthy in both our mental and physical bodies. So what can we do to change this?

Our Mindset

Societies mindset of weight loss is incredibly demeaning to our minds. Instead of looking at weight loss for our health, it is often looked at as how thin we are able to get. This view is one of the major reasons that many who have a goal of losing weight, fail.

Changing our mindset when it comes to weight loss will inevitably be the only way that you will be able to reach your goals and stick to them. Firstly, stop looking at it as weight loss, but instead look at the experience as a health one. When we are able to get out of the weight aspect than we are able to take the image of our bodies away and focus on our inner health. In reality, that is what weight loss is, becoming healthy.

Not Just What You Eat

Becoming healthy is not just what you eat, but how you feel around food. We often struggle with our inner dialogue and try to be as healthy as we can be 100% of the time and feel like failures if we slip up. It is critical to be realistic when it comes to your weight loss goals. That means understanding that enjoying food which isn’t considered healthy, isn’t the end of the world. We are allowed to bounce back and continue being healthy afterwards. Remember, it’s not about your weight, it is about your mental health and overall health. Feeling guilt around food isn’t a healthy way to meet your goals.

Self-Worth

Our self-worth is a crucial aspect of becoming healthy. The way we speak to ourselves and the way we feel around food needs to be positive, otherwise, we are setting ourselves up for failure. You need to feel like you deserve to be healthy. That your family and friends deserve to have the happiest and healthiest version of YOU.

Our program here at weighless 123 Diet, places you in the right position to not only lose weight but lose negative mindsets around food. We have the ability to achieve whatever we want to in life, however, it is dependant on how we enter these goals and how we treat ourselves while working on them. Shifting your mindset, understanding that it isn’t just what you eat, and understanding your own self-worth will put you on the right path to health. You want to be the best version of you, and that’s what we want for you too.
